A TYPICAL DAY OF TRAINING ...
Our most popular Program, 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher Training & Certification, held at the boutique surf hotel, Cafe Playa Negra, located in the heart of Los Pargos, Guanacaste, is All-Inclusive. Meaning your meals, accommodations, and transport are taken care of in addition to your tuition. For more information on what a typical day at Cafe Playa Negra during the 200 Hour Program looks like, please click here.
If training in the jungle does not appeal to you, MSYI has partnered with a number of studios across Canada and the USA to offer the same experience, sin la playa (without the beach). Please note if you choose a training program outside of Playa Negra, Costa Rica, it is NOT All-inclusive, therefore the arrangement(s) and cost(s) of your accommodations, meals, and transportation (both to / from training location, and to / from airport), if required, is your responsibility.
Meet at studio for a silent start of Meditation, followed by Chanting and Group Discussion. Please make sure to nourish yourself by eating or bringing a wholesome breakfast; and remember lots of hydrating fluids.
Not hungry first thing in the morning? No problem. Now is your chance to fuel up for the day with a half hour break.
Classroom time, typically dedicated to Yoga History & Philosophy.
All about Asana; time to roll out your mat and get moving. Yoga style varies based on the specialized program of choice.
Take the next 2 hours to reflect, refresh, and recharge. While assignments may be given during break time, you will have plenty of time to enjoy time to yourself. MSYI is rooted in Self-Love and Self-Care - you do you.
Back to the classroom for Practice Teaching and Module Study.
Take an hour to break for dinner, before reconvening for our evening session.
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Depending on the day, evening session may include module study, practice teaching, and/or asana practice. We prefer to wrap up by 9:00 PM so we can start fresh again tomorrow.
Please note that this is a sample day, and the actual schedule is subject to vary day-to-day, training-to-training. Regardless of where in the world you take your training with MSYI, and for how many days, know that you will start your morning with Chanting and Meditation. We will shift gears into Yoga History & Philosophy, followed by Asana practice and a 2 hour break for lunch. When we return, we focus our attention on Module Study, specific to the Program. After dinner, we close with an evening practice, appropriate to the day and specific Program.
