IS MSYI FOR ME?
Regardless of where in the world you take your training, or whether you study with us for 20 hours, 1000 hours, or anywhere in between, you can expect an amazing experience full of exploration, creation, and connection, all rooted in MSYI's #1 Principal: Ahimsa / Self Love.
You don't need to be flexible or young for this training. All we ask is you have a desire to learn and an open mind. Yoga means to yoke, to connect, to unite. If you can breathe, you can do yoga, and you can most certainly successfully complete one of our Programs.
A common misconception about Yoga Teacher Training is your entire day will be spent on your mat doing yoga postures - this is not the case! Your day will typically start in silence, allowing your physical, mental, emotional, intellectual, energetic, and spiritual bodies to awaken and connect, through meditation and chanting of the non-denominational variety. The rest of the day will be filled with asana practice, group discussion, self-inquiry, module study, assignments, and practice teaching.
Your days will be long, but as MSYI's foundation is rooted in Self Love and Self Care, you will be well taken care of through a balance of rejuvenation and rest, intellectual and physical stimulation, and numerous breaks throughout the day allowing you to digest, reflect, and reconnect.
Depending on your Program and / or location of study, your day will start between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM, and end between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM.; so you can start fresh again tomorrow. You will enjoy at least a 2 hour break during the afternoon, as well as two shorter breaks for breakfast and dinner.
